The collection comprises one architectural drawing, a presentation elevation (dated 1/12/1972) for a house in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania designed by Romañach for himself and his wife. The house was never built. The drawing is signed by Mario Romañach and labeled The Romañach Partnership, Architects; Mario Romañach, FAIA; Maria C. Romañach, RA. The labelling appears to have been added after 1978, the year when Mario Romañach was made a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.

Mario Jose Romañach, was born in 1917 in Havana, Cuba. He studied architecture there, earning a degree in 1945 from the University of Havana. He practiced and taught architecture in Havana from 1947 until he emigrated to the United States in 1959. Romañach taught architecture at the University of Pennsylvania School of Architecture from 1962 until his death in 1984 (chairman 1971-1974).
